Sod can be installed during most of the growing season, typically spring through early fall. Cooler temperatures and regular watering help sod establish faster, but with proper care, installation can be successful in many conditions.

Sod usually begins to root within 2–3 weeks, with full establishment taking about 4–6 weeks. Proper watering and avoiding heavy foot traffic during this time are key to success.

New sod should be watered daily for the first couple of weeks to keep the soil moist. After that, watering can gradually be reduced as the roots establish. We provide clear watering instructions after every installation.
